Tuesday....

I have a lot to do but, I have to be at work very shortly so everything will have to wait until later. The boys did a great job yesterday around the house. Will and Casey even fixed the broken porch swing and put up the basketball goal. Will loves to do anything with his hands, Casey is his helper.
I have come to find out in this very stressed world things happen, who knows why but there has to be a reason. In Jan we had to pick up and move because our land lord allowed the home we were paying rent for to be foreclosed on. But now we are living in this awesome house and are renting from really great people. I lost my job in the middle of Feb and by the middle of March I had a new job doing a job a love greatly. I am struggling to get caught up on things but I know we will be okay. I just wanted you all to know how grateful I am to have a hard working loving husband, two wonderful sons, a home and a job. Things all in all are good!! Have a great day.........

Busy, Busy.....

We have been so busy......I am at work today as well as I was here yesterday. I have been busy at work and at home. Once baseball really gets underway the only place I will be able to breathe is at work. It stormed here soo.. bad yesterday afternoon that the superintendent of our county schools called off all after school activities, so Casey had no ball practice.

We are trying to gear up for a meet and greet for our travel team. I have several committed, a few that have not yet let us know, and now two No's. So, I am not sure if it will happen or not. I put a lot of effort in to this event and I can only do it on my off days. I guess I will decide today and go from there.

We have got several boxes unpacked. Of course, we have several more to go. It feels like home and soon it will look that way, too.

I swear I am off work tomorrow and I am gonna sleep till lunch, so know one please call till then. I say this knowing I will be up to help my sons get out the door and then I will probably lay on the couch and read. But, I will be relaxing!!!

Almost to the end of another working weekend...

Well, this weekend has been a little weird to say the least. I have felt funny and so yesterday my friend Tracy came by work to check on me cause I explained to her how I was feeling. She checked my blood sugar and I was well above normal "356". I stayed high like that all yesterday even when I was just drinking water. I am at "296" today. I called a friend who is a nurse and she said the stress I am under and not eating regularly like I should could cause it to do that but, boy is it a weird feeling. When I get home I am gonna crash!!

Lee had another practice today for his traveling team. They are looking good I am being told. We are gonna have a meet and greet at our house next Sat for all the family's and player's. We have 2 boys playing from Calhoun, 1 from Woodland, 1 from South Central and I believe everyone else is from A'ville. So I think it will be nice to socialize with the parents and players so we can know each other on and off the field. Go Bartow Bulldogs!!!

I know I am awful but I still have got to get the other middle school players names that made the baseball team. I can not wait until the game opener!!

Well, I have been reading a lot while I have been feeling yucky! James Patterson has been seeing me through. I read his Judge and Jury Friday and finished it up yesterday. Then when Tracy came by to check on me yesterday she brought me her moms copy of his Cross Country. I started it today. I just love to read his books they are soo.. fasted paced you can not put them down.

I will be off Monday and Tuesday, but no rest Lee has baseball errands for me to run and so does our treasurer. Then I will unpack a little more. I would really love for all decorating and picture hanging to be done in time for our Hot dog Social next Sat.

Off days.....

Well for starters off days are way too busy and go way to fast.... This is my 60 hour week and I only get two off days. With our move being complete and super bowl party on concrete floors over. I thought things would slow a bit. Well, I have not even hardly begun unpacking boxes. I did found out the foreclosure went through on the house we were renting. It went up for sale on the court house stairs and NO one bid on it. So, the mortgage company got it back. And our land lord lost family property that had been in her husbands family for years and years.

We now have carpet so, I will start unpacking boxes. It looks great it butts right up to the tile Lee laid and the colors go together really well. My new living room set looks awesome with the colors so the move is great. Lee says he is very happy and he feels this is where we are meant to be. I tend to agree with him!!!

Talk about luck, yesterday morning Lee was up first (it was my off day) and he showered then started to brush his teeth NO WATER!! Well lucky for us the well just froze up no busted pipes. We will leave the water with a little drizzle so as not to freeze up again. Lee also is purchasing a well light it keeps pump warm and pulls very little amps of power. So thankfully that was a little problem. So they boys and Lee brushed their teeth with bottled water. The water was unthawed by the home owner with Casey's hot pink hair dryer(LOL). I got to take a shower before my errands.

The most important of my errands was accompanying my 16 years old son "Will" to take his drivers test. He did good on the course they have set up at the DDS. He only forgot to turn on blinkers while parallel parking and doing a turn-about. On the actual road test where he ventured onto a very busy 41 highway in Cartersville turned left on Grassdale road, turn left into a bunch of little roads back to Grassdale, then left turn onto 41 back to DDS she said he drove perfect. Her exact words were "He did not scare me and that's saying a lot" and "He was the best driver I have been in the car with all week." That made me feel GOOD! So, last night when it came time to pick Casey up from the middle school after an outing with the AMS boys basketball team to see Berry College play Will went and picked Casey up. We could get used to this. I remember when Adrienne got her license and our life's got a little easier.

Casey is having Middle School baseball tryouts this week. He is very nervous, he always is when it comes to eyes being on him. He text me this morning and said he made the first cut. he now has final try-outs this afternoon. The final roster should be up sometime this evening. If he makes the final cut they will have their first practice of the year in the morning. Good Luck my son!!!

We are attending the AHS basketball game this evening. They are recognizing the Middle School basketball team between varsity games. Casey is excited about this as basketball is over and he is looking to the spring and summer for more baseball. We did go to the AHS basketball game Tuesday night. We played Chattooga it is always a good game. Our girls got their first win of the season which was very exciting. But, the boys did not fare as well.

Working........

Today has been sorta boring. My hubby brought me lunch and spent about 20 minutes eating with me before he had try-outs for the traveling team he coaches. I watched a little tv on the computer. My daughter surprised me by stopping by for about 15 minutes. I found me a couch on craigslist and I am going to pick it up on Tuesday, while I am finally off work for one day. It was just like what I had in mind that I wanted, so I am really excited and the people I am purchasing it from are being really kind and keeping it for me until Tuesday so I can come and get it.

We had a really nice time last night with our friends. After dinner we drove over and showed them the new place. They really seemed to like it. Once we are finished with everything I will have to post some pictures so you can all see it. Lee has got to get busy finishing the other tile before the carpet comes in. And we also have to move this week so, it is gonna be a very busy week for us. Lee's back and knee's are killing him so I understand why he has took a couple of days to recoup.

I am getting ready to go home. I do not know what he is gonna do after his practice he may be heading over to do a little work. He had to work at his regular job yesterday so, he has only had today off. I can not wait to get to my recliner!!! It will be awesome when I get there I may not get up till I go to bed.

I hope everyone had a great day! I have no complaints about mine, except its been quite a bore. I have to work tomorrow so my schedule is gonna be a little different this week. I will be off Thursday thru Sunday but, with moving I will get no rest. Until Later............

New Driver...

Will is gonna take his driving test Thursday, so beware new 16 year old driver on the road!!! He got his truck last night, 1986 GMC Pick-up Truck. It was what he wanted so he is very happy!! I am still nervous about letting out on the road, he drives good it is just a nervous Momma thing I guess.

House is looking good. One slight delay carpet will not be in until the 3rd and we have to move by the 31st. So, we will move then have to move all furniture to garage for carpet to get layed. Oh well, that's how the cookie crumbles as my momma would of said. She was always positive, after 18 and a half years without her that is one thing I always smile about her positive always honest attitude. That put a smile on my face!!! Happy Memories!!

Well another busy weekend, Casey has a basketball game today, and baseball practice tomorrow. Will has Matt over and they are gonna work with Lee all weekend. We are both working today so Casey is going home after his game with Spenser. Thanks Renee and Steve its good to have y'all around. So sorry to have to ask but, I am missing his last regular season game today and that tugs at my heart strings!! Play-offs begin next week his JV team is seated higher than the Varsity team because they have won more games. Go AMS JV Go!!!!

As I said I am at work, it is raining and still dark outside. I hope this gloomy weather goes away. I did have a ray of sunshine this morning early. When I checked on a very special young lady, Jesse Dee she seemed to have a better day yesterday. I am so thankful for that. Please pray for her and for Baby Girl Harper too!! Both seem to be improving!!!

I best get busy.............

Weekend Over.......

Very busy weekend, it went way too fast. Of course, every weekend I am off it goes rather quickly. Casey had a basketball game, they lost. He played well scored 5 points and had several rebounds. Lee and Will did not go to the game they went to the house we are moving to and along with Lee's dad and Will's friend's Steven and Cody and they all got started by 9am.

They replaced a door, tore out the hard wood floor in the breakfast nook, fixed a leaky bay window and started laying the tile floor all while Casey and I attended the JV games for the middle school at Ashworth. My sister and her kiddos came over and she was Lee's helper all afternoon. It seems she wants to learn to lay tile for a project she has planned for her kitchen. My step son Joseph also came over to check out the new house and help a little too. So we have had a house full of helpers today.

My sis and Joseph both live in sub divisions off the main road we are moving to. Both live less than a quarter a mile from where we live. So for the first time in forever I am gonna live close to my sis and Joseph is gonna live close to his dad. I hope to see them all quite often. Thanks for the help everyone.

Sunday we actually slept in until Casey text cause he was ready to come help. He had spent the night with his friend Spenser. Of course he really did not want to help and he was rather grateful when my friend Regina called to see if he would come catch for Dylan and Tristan. They all play middle school baseball together and until this year have played traveling ball together. They were gone about 3 hours. Adreinne and here friend Sara came by to check out the new house and they ended up going to McD's with us for lunch. We rested a little and ate.

Back to work Lee got the rest of the tile layed, grouting will begin this afternoon. I was his helper today, I think Jeanna did a better job than I did. Thanks Will, Cody and Steven for all of your cuts to the tile. Y'alls construction teacher Ron would be very proud of y'all. Everything is looking good the new carpet is supposed to be in on the 28th hopefully it will get laid on the 29th so we can begin moving the evening of the 29th. My dish is set up to move on the 30th and my phone service should be on there today. Cell's do not work good there so I opted to go ahead and move home service early so we would have access to a phone if the need arises.

I know I still owe you the rest of Sports 2008 today may be the day. I just have not decided yet. I have a few things to do. I hope you all have a wonderful day.....
